Welcome page for the Transporter Workshop
The Workshop is a web tool that allows you to custom design and build a helicopter
transporter for your favorite helicopter. Just as you can buy a car and specify it's options, the
Workshop allows you to virtually "build" your custom transporter and price it online!
- Do you want 400 amp, or 650 amp batteries?
- Do you want 1,2 3, or 4 of them?
- What voltage power units should you select? 12 or 28 Volt?
- Standard or Heavy Duty?
- Do you want hydraulic drive?
- How about hydraulic steering?
- What tow bar configuration: tug ring, ball hitch, T-Bar?
- How about wheels, mags or steel? 4 or 6 of them?
- Which adapters: Bell 206, Hughes 300, Bell 47?
So many options!!!! The workshop allows
you to build what you want and price it out all with an easy to use graphical interface!!!
The workshop will notify you of option conflicts as you build!!! It will also add required
options for you dynamically when you change your choices!!! It could not be easier!
The Workshop is also intended to be enjoyable to use and somewhat entertaining. At first, it
will be a bit of a puzzle which adds to the fun. Will you be able to figure out how to start the Workshop?
(Hint: Click the nav light)
Workshop preview shown below
Check out the HELP file noted at the bottom of this page. But don't read it yet! See how you do on your
own to run the Workshop through its paces! Price out different combinations! Let the workshop do
the work for you!
So, let's get into our Hughes 269A and fly over to the Workshop! The radar will pick
us up so make sure your speakers are on so you can hear the tower chatter!
Note: There is a 2 part load sequence before the Workshop is fully loaded on your PC.
Be patient! Instead of a standard progress bar, the load sequence tracks an inbound
Hughes 269 which moves toward the airport as the load progresses. Also, the sound and
music files load last which means you may have to re-click the Nav light to get the
music to start.
Fly me there now!
DISCLAIMER - Prices computed by the Workshop are subject to change without notice and may
